Manipulator
for transporting flasks in a foundry shop
Automated foundry line. A manipulator
for moving flasks in a foundry shop (a project of the Ukrainian Institute of the
Foundry Engineering Industry). An animation of an assembly drawing. As a result
of the animation some errors in the project were spotted; a hydraulic cylinder
which governed the manipulator was beating down below the foundation while
rotating on the shaft. During the tests this defect would inevitably have led to
an accident. The defect was corrected in the project documentation.
